RFP For Retail Suppliers To Serve PIPP Customers Fails To Receive Any Qualifying Bids

A Request for Proposals process to procure electric supplies for Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP) customers at the FirstEnergy Ohio utilities, for a term of June 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026, failed to attract any conforming bids
As such, no PIPP load was awarded in the procurement
Bidders must be registered as retail electric suppliers in order to participate in the PIPP supply RFP
The Benchmark Price for the FirstEnergy Ohio utilities' March 2025 PIPP RFP was $81.38/MWh. The price bid in the March 31, 2025 PIPP RFP was required to be less than the Benchmark Price.
A supplemental RFP may be held
PIPP customers are ineligible to shop
