Energywell recently formed a new entity, Think Home Solutions, LLC, which is seeking an electric broker and/or aggregator license in Ohio
Think Home Solutions is affiliated with various Energywell companies including retail supplier Think Energy
The entirety of Think Home Solutions's Ohio application was not immediately available from PUCO's docket site, but the exhibits to the application were available
From the exhibits, it appears that Think Home Solutions (THS) will offer a concierge or auto-switching service.
An exhibit states, "By signing up for THS’s service, customers will grant THS agency authority to enroll customers
for service with an energy supplier if the energy supplier chooses to offer an energy supply rate
to the customer that is lower than the price to compare ('PTC') offered by the customer’s local
energy distribution company ('EDC'). Similarly, following customer enrollment with THS and
placement with the energy supplier, if a distribution company’s PTC is scheduled to fall below
the price offered by the energy supplier, then the customer’s service will be switched back to
their local distribution company’s PTC."
"THS’s service will remain in effect until the customer opts out. THS will not sign an energy
supply contract with an energy supplier on the customer’s behalf unless the customer benefits
from the supplier’s energy supply offer (i.e., it is priced at a rate lower than the customer’s
EDC’s PTC)," an exhibit states
