Bank Selling Blocks Of Energy To "End-Use" Customers In Texas Relinquishes Retail Provider Certificate

Citigroup Energy Inc. (CEI) filed at the Texas PUC to withdraw its Option 2 retail electric provider certificate
Citigroup Energy said that it, "currently sells blocks of energy to end-use customers in Texas, however, the scheduling and delivery of such
energy is handled by the end-use customers' REP of record, not CEI."
Citigroup Energy said, "After consultation with Commission Staff, it
was determined that such sales do not constitute retail electric service such that CEI would need to hold a REP
certificate."
Citigroup Energy said, "In consultation with Commission staff, it was determined that to date, Citigroup Energy Inc. has never provided retail electric service to any end-use customers and does not require an Option 2 REP certificate."
