Oncor Proposes Increase In DCRF Charged To Retail Providers

Oncor has filed at the Texas PUC a proposed increase to its Distribution Cost Recovery Factor, Rider DCRF, charged to retail electric providers

Oncor's proposed new charges under Rider DCRF are as follows:

Oncor proposed an effective date of May 30, 2025 for the new charges under Rider DCRF

However, this is contingent on rates being approved by the PUC with enough time to still provide the requisite notice of "approved" rates to REPs prior to the sought May 30, 2025 effective date. The standard 60-day deadline for PUC disposition of Oncor's DCRF application -- which is April 15, 2025 -- would allow for 45 days notice to REPs prior to Oncor's sought May 30, 2025 effective date (however, if the PUC were to extend consideration for an additional 15 days for good cause as permitted under PURA, the May 30, 2025 effective date would no longer allow 45 days notice to REPs)

Specifically, a proposed order submitted by Oncor specifies that the new DCRF rates would be, "effective on and after Oncor's provision of 45 days' notice of the approved rates to REPs."
