Several Maryland Utilities Post Average Residential Rates Charged By Each Retail Supplier, Some Rates Are 10¢/kWh Higher Than SOS, Or More

Several Maryland utilities have posted the average rate charged by each retail electric supplier
Specifically, Pepco and Delmarva have filed reports with each retail supplier's average residential rate for December 2024
At Pepco, the supplier-specific average of residential rates billed by each retail supplier in December 2024 ranged from 4 cents per kWh lower than the average default service rate, to 11 cents per kWh higher than the average default service rate.
Fourteen suppliers, of over 50 suppliers serving residential customers at Pepco, had an average residential rate that was lower than the SOS rate in December 2024
At Pepco, two retail suppliers had an average residential rate that was at least 10 cents per kWh higher than SOS in December 2024
At Delmarva, one supplier had an average residential rate that was 16 cents per kWh higher than SOS in December 2024

BGE stated that it is awaiting a PSC order on PSC Staff's recommendations for the supplier average rate reports prior to filing its initial report
According to a filing caption, Potomac Edison filed a supplier cost report with the PSC, but the filing was made on a confidential basis
