Retail Supplier Withdraws Petition For TPV Rule Waiver For Digital TPV
The following story is brought free of charge to readers by VertexOne, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
Inspire Energy Holdings, LLC has withdrawn its petition at the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio for a waiver of certain TPV rules, which had been sought to allow the use of a digital TPV
As previously reported, Inspire had sought a waiver of certain rules governing the TPV process to allow the customer to complete the verification process through a digital confirmation, similar to waivers granted to and/or sought by other suppliers in Ohio. In brief, the digital TPV was to have occurred on the customer's personal device, after completion of the sales process and after the agent leaves the property. The rule includes language requiring an "audio" and "verbal" TPV conducted "telephonically".
