No Joke: New "Enron" Seeks Texas Retail Electric Provider Certificate

Although the creation of a new Enron has generated headlines recently as a "parody", it now appears such activity may have potentially been designed to create viral news in advance of an actual launch of a new Enron brand
EnergyChoiceMatters.com could not confirm any details in the REP application of Enron Energy Texas LLC by publication time, but publishes them because, as is customary, the application includes a notarized sworn affidavit under which a principal of the applicant must, "swear and affirm that all of the statements and representations made in this application for a REP certificate, or amendment to a REP certification, are true and correct."
ECM confirmed, through a search on the Texas Sec. of State notary database, that the name and license number on the notary stamps on the affidavits in the Enron Energy Texas LLC REP application are that of a notary commissioned in Texas.
