Texas REP Launching Payouts To Residential Customers Based On Profits
The following story is brought free of charge to readers by VertexOne, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
BKV Energy, a residential Texas retail electric provider, announced the launch of a program to pay customers a share of the company's operating margin, dubbed ElectroShare
BKV Energy recently issued the first ElectroShare customer payout, with a total of $113,000 distributed to customers this month.
ElectroShare payouts will be issued annually. BKV said that the more it earns, the more that will be paid out via ElectroShare
The individual ElectroShare payout received by a specific customer is tied to the customer's length of service with BKV Energy, with longer-tenured customers receiving a larger share
ElectroShare payouts are currently paid as a bill credit. BKV Energy is working to expand payout options to PayPal and other mechanisms
ElectroShare is said by BKV to reward, "each of our customers".
ElectroShare is specifically offered under BKV's Bluebonnet plans (which are offered under different term lengths), which are the only plan currently marketed to new customers on the REP's website
"Premier+ subscribers", a BKV benefits package, are also eligible for ElectroShare
