The newly formed Consortium for Climate Solutions will be anchored by Harvard University, Mass General Brigham (MGB), and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Under a collaboration with PowerOptions, the Consortium also made energy available to additional customers who are PowerOptions members, under the same terms as applicable to the anchor customers, including the City of Cambridge, Beth Israel Lahey Health, Boston Children’s Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Tufts University, the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority, GBH, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston
The Consortium has executed two virtual power purchase agreements for projects developed and owned by Apex Clean Energy, including the 200 MW Big Elm Solar project in Bell County, Texas
A VPPA was also executed for the 208 MW Bowman Wind project in Bowman County, North Dakota
3Degrees facilitated the aggregation on behalf of the Consortium
