Power Cord Energy, LLC registered as a Texas retail electric broker

David E. Gunderson serves as president of Power Cord Energy, LLC

Power Cord Energy, LLC shares an address, including suite numbers, with several businesses founded by an individual named David E. Gunderson

These businesses include Corsair Ventures, a Dallas-based developer of multi-family and mixed-used properties, and US Freedom Capital, an investment manager for real estate

In 2000, David E. Gunderson previously founded a design-build-finance (construction) firm operating in Texas known as "Centerpoint" (with various associated entities using the Centerpoint brand, such as Centerpoint Builders, Ltd.), which was sold to AUI Holdings in 2011

The name CenterPoint Energy was first used respect to the TDSP assets formerly held by Houston Lighting & Power in 2002, as part of a corporate restructuring of the entity then-known as Reliant Energy, Inc.

The construction industry company Centerpoint founded by Gunderson was not affiliated with CenterPoint Energy or any other vestige of HL&P

Power Cord Energy on its website indicates a focus on the multi-family market, stating as follows: "Power Cord Energy aims to revolutionize the electricity market for multifamily apartment complexes in the deregulated Texas market by becoming the first multifamily-focused electric provider [sic]. Created by landlords for landlords, our innovative approach will transform the traditional broker-mediated model, offering the highest referral fees directly to landlords while providing competitive electricity rates to tenants."

Power Cord Energy, LLC's filing with the Texas Secretary of State is shown as "pending review", which is understood to indicate that the entity is newly registering and is likely a newly formed entity
