Texas Chevy Dealers To Offer Customers Reliant Plan With Free EV Charging At Night

Reliant and GM Energy announced a new retail electricity plan in Texas that will be offered by Chevrolet dealerships to electric vehicle (EV) customers at the time of EV purchase
The Reliant Free Charge Nights plan, which is to be offered to EV buyers at 150 Chevy dealers across Texas, provides a monthly bill credit that fully offsets the energy charges incurred from charging the qualifying EV between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.
TDSP charges will continue to apply during all EV charging periods
To enroll, customers must first designate one EV to receive the charging credit in their GM Energy Smart Charging Portal before signing up for the plan
While Reliant in a news release highlighted the offering of the plan at Chevrolet dealerships, and certain customer-facing materials list only Chevy EVs, a terms of service states that customers must have a qualifying, "Cadillac, GMC or Chevrolet electric vehicle."
GM Energy's website lists eligible EVs for the plan as follows:
The plan is open to new and existing eligible Chevy EV owners
The Reliant Free Charge Nights plan, which is 100% renewable (from RECs), will be offered in fixed price terms of 12 and 36 months
At the time of ECM publication, webpages from both Reliant and GM Energy state that the Free Charge Nights plan is available for new Reliant residential customers only
