Vistra Reports "Strong" Retail Margin & Customer Count Results

In reporting third quarter earnings today, Vistra Corp. said that its Retail segment, "continued delivery of strong margin and count results driving consistent Adj. EBITDA performance."
In a presentation, Vistra did not list a total residential customer count as it has done in prior earnings presentations
Vistra said that it grew its retail residential customer count organically in the quarter and year-over-year

results in both Texas and

In the Retail segment, Vistra's large business markets sales performance is "well ahead" of expectations, the company said
The Retail segment's Adjusted EBITDA for the third quarter of 2024 was $102 million, down $71 million from the $173 posted in the year-ago quarter, due to lower volumes, driven by unfavorable weather relative to Q3 2023, and higher purchased power costs from forward hedging, partly offset by customer count performance, and the inclusion of
Energy Harbor’s retail results
On a consolidated basis, Vistra increased and narrowed its 2024 Adj. EBITDA guidance
range to $5.0 billion to $5.2 billion, up from $4.55 billion to $5.05 billion
