Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has directed the Texas PUC to investigate the electric utilities' service restoration performance in the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl
Notably, among the questions to which Abbottt sought an answer was: "When and for
what purposes did utilities use their mobile generation resources?"
Abbottt directed the PUC to provide a report on its findings related to utility outages and service restoration performance by December 1, 2024
