The bypassable total Merchant Function Charge rates are increasing about 75% for all applicable customer classes at National Fuel Gas Distribution in Pennsylvania, after the Pennsylvania PUC approved a settlement in Distribution's Section 1307(f) rate proceeding
The new MFC rates result from applying the previously established MFC factor (percent) to newly established gas supply and reconciliation rates. There is no change to the MFC factor (percent) as a result of the 1307(f) proceeding
The new MFC charges are to be effective August 1, 2024, coincident with the underlying changes in gas supply and reconciliation rates
Under the adopted settlement, the total Residential MFC Charge will be $0.0858 per Mcf, reflecting a Natural Gas Supply Charge MFC of $0.0919 per Mcf and a Gas Adjustment clause (E-Factor) MFC of $(0.0061) of per Mcf
The Residential MFC Charge as of May 1, 2024 had been $0.0496 per Mcf
Under the adopted settlement, the total Non-Residential MFC Charge will be $0.0162 per Mcf, reflecting a Natural Gas Supply Charge MFC of $0.0174 per Mcf and a Gas Adjustment clause (E-Factor) MFC of $(0.0012) per Mcf
The Non-Residential MFC Charge as of May 1, 2024 had been $0.0093 per Mcf
