Northeast Retail Supplier Expanding To Texas
The following story is brought free of charge to readers by VertexOne, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
The Power One Energy Company (P1EC), under new subsidiary NextVolt Texas, LLC, is expanding to the Texas retail electric market, and named several 25-year veterans of the retail energy industry to C-level positions
Currently, P1EC operates as a retail electric supplier in the PJM markets of Illinois, Ohio, and Delaware, under the brand ResCom Energy, LLC.
"This expansion into the ERCOT market represents a pivotal moment for the company as it continues to grow its footprint and deliver reliable energy solutions to a broader customer base," P1EC said
P1EC said that NextVolt Texas, LLC has filed as a Load Serving Entity (LSE) in the ERCOT market. NextVolt Texas, LLC said that it is filing as an LSE today with the intent of pursuing operations as a REP in the tier that serves residential and commercial customers. The application for a certificate with the Texas PUC will succeed the LSE filing from a process perspective.
P1EC also announced several leadership changes
P1EC named Richard Rathvon as CEO of P1EC, succeeding Ed Jenks.
Rathvon, with over 25 years of experience in retail energy, previously served as chief executive or in executive vice president and senior vice president roles at several retail suppliers, including Reliant and ConEdison Solutions. Rathvon has had overall P&L responsibility for business units with over $1.2 billion in revenue and has managed business development, sales, and operations in technology, renewables, and sustainability initiatives.
P1EC named Cullen Hay as President of ResCom Energy, LLC and NextVolt Texas, LLC.
Hay, with over 25 years of experience in retail energy, has served as CEO or as executive vice president at several retail suppliers. Hay also previously served as General Manager, US Energy at Direct Energy, and has overseen mergers and acquisitions, portfolio management, and P&L delivery, with experience spanning trading, consulting, and retail energy across all deregulated markets
P1EC named David Draper as CFO of P1EC.
Draper, with over 25 years of experience in retail energy, has served as CFO or in vice president roles, in both finance and operations, at several retail suppliers.
"We are incredibly excited about the opportunities this expansion into the ERCOT market presents," said Richard Rathvon, CEO of P1EC. "With the combined expertise of our new leadership team and our established success in the PJM markets, we are well-positioned to provide exceptional service and innovative energy solutions to our new customers in Texas."
Cullen Hay, President of ResCom Energy, LLC and NextVolt Texas, LLC, said, "I couldn’t be more excited to lead the retail energy expansion for Power One Energy Company and deliver on the promise of producing fair and trustworthy products and services to customers throughout the state of Texas as well as across the PJM landscape."
