All prices below include the currently effective Basic Service Adders and Renewable Portfolio Standard, Alternative Energy Portfolio Standard, Clean Energy Standard, and Clean Peak Standard Adders

The filed Nstar East fixed residential basic service rate for the period August 1, 2024 to January 31, 2025 is 15.772 cents per kWh, about 8% lower than the current rate of 17.216 cents per kWh

Per an exclusive analysis by EnergyChoiceMatters.com conducted on the afternoon of May 17, there are 45 fixed price residential offers from competitive retail electric suppliers on Energy Switch MA that are below the new August 1, 2024 Nstar East fixed residential basic service rate, with all of these retail suppliers' offers fixed for at least 6 months

Four offers from retail suppliers are below 11 cents per kWh, providing savings of at least 30% versus the new utility basic service rate, with these retail supplier rates fixed for at least six months

The filed new Nstar East fixed small C&I basic service rate for the period August 1, 2024 to January 31, 2025, using currently effective adders, is 15.677¢/kWh, which is about 10% lower than the current rate of 17.552¢/kWh
