United Illuminating Residential, Small C&I Default Service Rates Falling 30%

United Illuminating has filed new default service rates with the Connecticut PURA for the period July 2024 through December 2024
The July 2024 through December 2024 UI residential (Rate R) Standard Service rate will be 11.9101¢/kWh, which is 30% lower than the current UI Rate R rate of 17.0625¢/kWh. All of the Standard Service rates in this story include the updated Bypassable FMCC which is proposed to be set to 0.0000¢/kWh
The UI Rate GS Standard Service rate will decrease to 12.0647¢/kWh on July 1, 2024, which is about 30% lower versus the current rate of 17.0520¢/kWh
New Standard Service rates for July 2024 through December 2024 are as follows, in cents per kWh (for Rates LPT & GST, rates only applicable for customers under 500 kW).
The Last Resort Service Generation Services Charge (GSC) rates for the three-month period beginning July 1, 2024 are as follows, in cents per kWh:
