BGE Residential SOS Rate To Increase 9% In October

Baltimore Gas & Electric has filed with the Maryland PSC updated electricity SOS rates.

The filing includes new residential and Type I rates for the period Oct. 1, 2024 to May 31, 2025, updates to the previously set June 1, 2024 - Sept. 30, 2024 residential and Type I rates to reflect changes in the bypassable transmission charge and SOS Admin. charge, and new Type II rates for the period June 1, 2024 - Aug. 31, 2024

For Schedule R residential customers, BGE's "Total SOS Rate" (excludes Rider 8 reconciliation) will be 12.118 cents per kWh for the period Oct. 1, 2024 to May 31, 2025, or about 9% higher than the updated June 1, 2024 to Sept. 30, 2024 rate of 11.154 cents per kWh

For Scheds. G/GU -Type I SOS customers, BGE's "Total SOS Rate" (excludes Rider 8 reconciliation) will be 11.460 cents per kWh for the period Oct. 1, 2024 to May 31, 2025, up slightly from the updated June 1, 2024 to Sept. 30, 2024 rate of 11.059 cents per kWh
