AEP Provides Update On Timing Of Retail Business AEP Energy Sale Process

In announcing Q4 and full year 2023 earnings today, AEP interim CEO Benjamin G.S. Fowke said, "We are working through the final phases of the sales process for the AEP Energy retail and AEP OnSite Partners distributed resources businesses and expect that process to conclude by the end of the second quarter [of 2024]."
AEP provided the following metrics concerning its retail energy business:
• Book value of AEP’s investment as of 12/31/2023: $271M Retail
• Asset EPS contributions in 2024 operating guidance: $0.08 Retail
