PUC Issues Rulings Excluding Lubbock Retail Choice Customers From Uri Securitization Charges

The Texas PUC issued an order concluding that, under PURA § 39.151(j-1) and the Uri Debt Obligation Order, current and future end-use customers in Lubbock Power & Light (LP&L)'s service area will remain exempt from the assessment of Uri uplift charges upon the commencement of the City of Lubbock's transition to retail competition
The PUC also issued an order concluding that current and future end-use customers in LP&L's service area will remain exempt from the assessment of Uri default charges upon the commencement of the City of Lubbock's transition to retail competition.
