LyondellBasell has signed two new Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) with Texas projects

LyondellBasell signed a long-term PPA for 125 MW of renewable electricity sourced from TotalEnergies' Brazoria Solar project in Brazoria County, Texas. The 15-year agreement is expected to generate approximately 300,000 megawatt-hours (MWh) of power annually. The project is expected to commence operations at the end of 2025. This is LyondellBasell's second PPA with TotalEnergies.

Total said that, through the newly signed 15-year Corporate Power Purchase Agreement, LyondellBasell will offtake 125 MWac (163 MW) from TotalEnergies’ Brazoria Solar farm, located southwest of Houston, with a capacity of 325 MW and a commercial start-up planned for end of 2025.

The PPA with Total is, "indexed on merchant prices through an upside-sharing mechanism, under which the companies share any potential upside arising from increased market price over the contract term," Total said

LyondellBasell also signed a long-term PPA with Industrial Sun for 50 MW of electricity from Industrial Sun's Industrial Bravo solar project in Matagorda County, Texas, to serve the LyondellBasell Matagorda Complex. The project is expected to commence operations in the first half of 2026.
