United Illuminating Residential, Small C&I Default Service Rates Increasing 20%

United Illuminating has filed new default service rates with the Connecticut PURA for the period beginning January 1, 2024

The January 1, 2024 to June 30, 2024 UI residential (Rate R) Standard Service rate will be 17.0625¢/kWh, which is 20% higher than the current UI Rate R rate of 14.3344¢/kWh. All of the Standard Service rates in this story include the updated Bypassable FMCC which is proposed to be set to 0.0826¢/kWh

The UI Rate GS Standard Service rate will increase to 17.0520¢/kWh on January 1, 2024, which is about 20% higher versus the current rate of 14.3668¢/kWh

New Standard Service rates for January 2024 through June 2024 are as follows, in cents per kWh (for Rates LPT & GST, rates only applicable for customers under 500 kW).
