Several FirstEnergy Pennsylvania Residential, Commercial Prices To Compare Increasing 10%

The FirstEnergy Pennsylvania utilities have filed new tariffed residential and commercial PTCDefault rates, under Rider H, with the Pennsylvania PUC for the six-month period starting December 1, 2023
Residential Rates
At Met-Ed, the tariffed residential PTCDefault rate will be $0.11306 per kWh effective December 1, 2023, a 10% increase versus the current $0.10240 per kWh
At Penelec, the tariffed residential PTCDefault rate will be $0.10607 per kWh effective December 1, 2023, a 9% increase versus the $0.09703 per kWh
At Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTCDefault rate will be $0.11231 per kWh effective December 1, 2023, a 6% increase versus the current $0.10556 per kWh
At West Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTCDefault rate will be $0.10001 per kWh effective December 1, 2023, versus the current $0.09929 per per kWh
Commercial Rates
At Met-Ed, the tariffed commercial PTCDefault rate will be $0.11872 per kWh effective December 1, 2023, an 11% increase versus the current $0.10679 per kWh
At Penelec, the tariffed commercial PTCDefault rate will be $0.11603 per kWh effective December 1, 2023, a 5% increase versus the $0.11037 per kWh
At Penn Power, the tariffed commercial PTCDefault rate will be $0.13109 per kWh effective December 1, 2023, versus the current $0.12890 per kWh
At West Penn Power, the tariffed commercial PTCDefault rate will be $0.11023 per kWh effective December 1, 2023, versus the current $0.10959 per kWh
All of the new PTCDefault rates described above are to be in effect for the six-month period December 1, 2023 through May 31, 2024
