Option 2 Texas Retail Provider Seeks To Serve All Customers, Change To Option 1

Omega US Holding II, LLC, part of Omega Energia which describes itself as Brazil's largest renewable energy company, applied for an Option 1 Texas retail electric provider certificate
As exclusively first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, Omega US Holding II, LLC was granted an Option 2 Texas REP certificate, limited to serving customers 1 MW and larger which provide an affidavit agreeing to such service, earlier this year
In its Option 1 REP application, Omega US Holding II, LLC sought authority to collect customer deposits and prepayments.
In Brazil, Omega supplies renewable energy to end-use customers under Brazil's "Free Energy Market", and launched a 100% digital platform to buy and manage energy. Omega recently entered the U.S. with the purchase of the 265.5 MW Goodnight Wind Farm in Armstrong County, Texas
