Resiliency Provider Seeks Texas Retail Provider Certificate

RPower Retail LLC applied for an Option 1 Texas retail electric provider certificate
According to Secretary of State records, RPower Retail LLC is managed by RPower LLC, a provider of resiliency and energy solutions. The entity RPower LLC previously held an Option 1 Texas REP certificate but voluntarily withdrew the certificate, stating that it had never commenced operations as a REP. The entity RPower LLC currently holds an electric broker registration in Texas
The CEO of RPower Retail LLC is Texas market vet Jeff Starcher, who serves as CEO of RPower LLC as well. Starcher previously served as Chairman & CEO of MP2 Energy. Prior to MP2, Starcher co-founded MPower Energy
I Squared Capital, through its ISQ Global Infrastructure Fund III, recently completed a growth capital investment in RPower, LLC. I Squared has targeted up to $400 million of equity capital to fund growth initiatives including the development, construction, and ownership of distributed energy resources that provide resiliency and services to both the electric grid and commercial and industrial users
In its REP application, RPower Retail LLC does not seek to collect customer deposits or prepayments.
RPower LLC recently announced the appointment of Lynn A. Lednicky as Chief Financial Officer. Lednicky has 30+ years of experience in the energy business, including in development, finance, construction, operation, and optimization of generation assets, and previously served as Executive Vice President at Dynegy
Joshua McIlvoy recently joined RPower LLC as Director of Product Operations. McIlvoy previously held positions at several utilities, including Innovation Partnership Manager and Senior Staff Analyst at Entergy
