Texas Retail Provider Now Affiliated With Texas-Specific Broadband, 5G, Smart City Entity

NextEra Energy has created a new entity, NextCity Networks Texas, LLC
NextEra launched NextCity several years ago, and the distinct entity NextCity Networks, LLC has been reported as an affiliate of Lone Star Transmission, LLC (a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Transmission) since August 2022, but Lone Star Transmission, LLC has now reported in an update with the Texas PUC the creation of the new competitive affiliate NextCity Networks Texas, LLC
NextCity Networks describes itself as providing the, "next era of communications and infrastructure solutions," with solutions including fiber, rural broadband, 5G, and smart city solutions
A published content piece by NextEra Infrastructure Solutions has further stated, "NextEra Infrastructure Solutions is a workgroup of affiliates of NextEra Energy, including Gexa Energy Solutions, LLC, NextEra Energy Solutions, LLC, NextCity Networks, LLC, and FPL Energy Services, Inc., that offers unregulated, commercial fiber, lighting, and smart meters solutions for developments, municipalities, and commercial businesses."
