Utility's Residential, Small C&I Default Service Rates Falling 50%

The New Hampshire PUC approved new default service rates at Unitil for the six-month period of August 1, 2023, through January 31, 2024 (all rates in this story are all-in rates and include the RPS adder, etc).

For the Unitil Small Customer Group (Residential, Rate D), the default service rate is falling 50% to 13.257 cents per kilowatt hour (kWh) for the six-month period of August 1, 2023, through January 31, 2024, from the current rate of 25.925 cents per kilowatt hour (kWh). The new rate is still higher than last year's Aug '22-Feb '23 rate of 10.117 cents per kilowatt hour (kWh).

For the medium customer class (G2 an OL, aka non-G1), the fixed default service rate will be 12.794 cents per kWh for the six-month period of August 1, 2023, through January 31, 2024, which is 50% lower than the current rate of 25.375 cents per kWh
