Texas PUC Issues Final Order On Oncor Inadvertent Gain Charge, Rate Case Setting New Rates Applicable To Retail Providers
The following story is brought free of charge to readers by VertexOne, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
The Texas PUC has issued a final order in Oncor's base distribution rate case proceeding
As part of the order, the PUC found that, "Oncor's proposal to continue collecting its inadvertent-gain-charge processing costs through the inadvertent gain charge should be adopted."
These costs are recovered under Charge No. DD24 Inadvertent Gain (IAG) applicable to the REP which erroneously gains the customer under the inadvertent gain
However, the PUC further said, "Oncor did not provide sufficient evidence to support the proposed amount of the inadvertent gain charge, so its request to increase the amount of the charge should be denied."
Oncor had initially proposed to increase Charge No. DD24 from the current amount of $35.65 to $36.15
The PUC's final order also establishes new delivery rates applicable to REPs at Oncor
As the Commission's order addresses various changes versus Oncor's proposed rates as well as the proposal for decision, Oncor will file a compliance tariff with the new rates reflecting the PUC's final decision within 20 days
