Brazilian Retail Supplier Receives Texas REP Certificate

Omega US Holding II, LLC, part of Omega Energia which describes itself as Brazil's largest renewable energy company, has been granted an Option 2 Texas retail electric provider certificate by the Texas PUC
In Brazil, Omega supplies renewable energy to end-use customers under Brazil's "Free Energy Market", and launched a 100% digital platform to buy and manage energy.
Omega recently entered the U.S. with the purchase of the 265.5 MW Goodnight Wind Farm in Armstrong County, Texas
Option 2 REPs are limited to serving customers 1 MW and larger which provide an affidavit agreeing to such service
