New Texas Retail Provider, Formed by Power Trader (& Former ERCOT Staffer) and Engineer Receives REP Certificate

The Public Utility Commission of Texas granted Peridot Power, LLC, a start-up, an Option 1 Texas retail electric provider certificate
As previously reported, Yongjun Ren serves as Managing Partner, Principal, and VP, Operations at Peridot Power
Ren previously served as Managing Director, Power Trading at Sandalwood Power; Director, Power Trading at North Maple Energy; and Director, Power Trading at Mercuria Energy Group
Ren also previously held several roles at ERCOT, including Supervisor, Day-Ahead Market and Senior, Market Operations Analyst
Ming Lin serves as Partner at Peridot Power
Lin serves as Chief Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer at AKL Engineering, Inc, with a focus on electrical and other needs of the oil and gas industry. Lin has served as principal or senior electrical engineer at several other engineering companies, with experience including distribution power systems
In its application, Peridot Power said that it will retail electricity and provide electricity load control implementation service to industrial and commercial customers
In an amendment, Peridot Power did not apply for the option of collecting deposits or advance payments from customers
Peridot Power's website states that it will be active in various energy markets including crude oil, refined petroleum products, natural gas, power, coal and carbon emissions.
