"Reports of Heritage Power, LLC, a Delaware company, filing for bankruptcy have caused confusion due to sharing its name with the Texas Retail Electric Provider, Heritage Power, LLC. Texas REP Heritage Power has reported that they are in no way associated with the Delaware company and are not in the power generation business. Retail electric provider Heritage Power has been in business for five years and continues to serve its customers with the highest standards and carries no debt."

The Delaware-based generator named Heritage Power, LLC is a subsidiary of GenOn and is in no way related to the Texas retail electric provider Heritage Power, LLC. The GenOn subsidiary announced a Chapter 11 filing earlier this week, but the Texas retail electric provider Heritage Power, LLC is in no way associated with such Delaware-based generator, GenOn, or the restructuring.
