United Illuminating Residential, Small C&I Default Service Rates Increasing 100%

United Illuminating has filed new default service rates with the Connecticut PURA for the period beginning January 1, 2023

The January 1, 2023 to June 30, 2023 UI residential (Rate R) Standard Service rate will be 21.9429¢/kWh, which is more than 100% higher than the current UI Rate R rate of 10.62¢/kWh. All of the Standard Service rates in this story include the Bypassable FMCC (where applicable) which is currently zero.

The UI Rate GS Standard Service rate will increase nearly 100% to 20.9663¢/kWh on January 1, 2023, from the current rate of 10.6607¢/kWh

New Standard Service rates for January 2023 through June 2023 are as follows, in cents per kWh (for Rates LPT & GST, rates only applicable for customers under 500 kW).
