Duquesne Light Residential, Small C&I Default Supply Rates Increasing 27-36%

Duquesne Light filed with the Pennsylvania PUC the default service supply rates for the periods beginning December 1, 2022
The default service supply rate, or supply charge, reflects generation supply only, unlike the official Prices to Compare which also reflect transmission and the state tax adjustment surcharge. An official new PTC has not yet been posted
For residential customers (Rate Schedules RS, RH and RA) the standard Duquesne Light default supply charge will be 8.8349 cents per kWh for the period December 1, 2022 through May 31, 2023, which is 27% higher than the current charge of 6.9395 cents per kWh
For Small Commercial and Industrial customers (Rate Schedules GS/GM and GMH under 25 kW) the standard Duquesne Light default supply charge will be 8.5288 cents per kWh for the period December 1, 2022 through May 31, 2023, which is 36% higher than the current charge of 6.2605 cents per kWh
The standard supply charge for Medium Commercial & Industrial customers (25-200 kW, Rate Schedules GS/GM and GMH) at Duquesne Light will be 20.5977 cents per kWh for the period December 1, 2022 through February 28, 2023, which is about 50% higher than the current charge of 13.9205 cents per kWh
