The FirstEnergy Pennsylvania utilities have filed new tariffed PTC-Default rates with the Pennsylvania PUC for the three-month period starting September 1, 2022

The PTC-Default rates are the all-in default service rates without the application of the State Tax Adjustment Surcharge (essentially, the PTC prior to application of the STAS), which is currently 0%. The utilities have not yet posted new official PTCs; the tariff filings with the new rates have not yet been approved by the PUC as of publication time

Residential Rates

At Met-Ed, the tariffed residential PTC-Default rate will be $0.09397 per kWh effective September 1, an 18% increase versus the current $0.07936 per kWh.

At Penelec, the tariffed residential PTC-Default rate will be $0.10021 per kWh effective September 1, a 19% increase versus the current $0.08443 per kWh

At Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTC-Default rate will be $0.10348 per kWh effective September 1, a 19% increase versus the current $0.08694 per kWh

At West Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTC-Default rate will be $0.08306 per kWh effective September 1, a slight increase versus the current $0.08198 per kWh

Commercial Rates

At Met-Ed, the tariffed commercial PTC-Default rate will be $0.11480 per kWh effective September 1, an 8% increase versus the current $0.10625 per kWh.

At Penelec, the tariffed commercial PTC-Default rate will be $0.10910 per kWh effective September 1, a slight decrease versus the current $0.11056 per kWh

At Penn Power, the tariffed commercial PTC-Default rate will be $0.13089 per kWh effective September 1, a 4% increase versus the current $0.12533 per kWh

At West Penn Power, the tariffed commercial PTC-Default rate will be $0.09360 per kWh effective September 1, a 7% decrease versus the current $0.10115 per kWh

All of the new PTC-Default rates for the FirstEnergy Pennsylvania EDCs are to be in effect for the period September 1, 2022 through November 30, 2022
