The Pennsylvania PUC granted Inspire Energy Holdings, LLC a natural gas supplier license to serve residential and small commercial (under 6,000 MCF annually) customers in the natural gas distribution company service territories of Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania, Inc., PECO Energy Company, Peoples Gas Company, LLC, Peoples Natural Gas Company, LLC, Philadelphia Gas Works, and UGI Utilities, Inc.

"Inspire plans to offer fixed price and flat monthly subscription retail natural gas plans, paired with carbon offsets equivalent to its customers' natural gas usage, and will offer such plans to residential and small commercial customers in Pennsylvania similar to the natural gas services Inspire offers to customers in Ohio," the company had said in its application
