Flagship Power Services, LLC, a start-up, registered as a Texas electric broker, as part of a technical requirement in the creation of two new retail electric provider brands of a separately certificated REP

As exclusively first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, MI Texas REP 1, LLC, which operates a white label REP platform, recently applied for an amended Texas retail electric provider certificate to add two new trade names, one of which was Flagship Power (plus the trade name Juice)

It is understood Flagship Power Services, LLC is very close to completing a definitive agreement with Mothership Incubator (of which MI Texas REP 1, LLC is a part) to operate in Mothership's incubator structure. Under such agreement, the Flagship Power Services, LLC team would operate the Flagship Power and Juice REP brands as part of the incubator's program and structure.

For technical reasons under the structure of the incubator, Flagship Power Services, LLC, a distinct legal entity from the REP , MI Texas REP 1, LLC, requires a broker license. However, while registered as a broker, Flagship Power Services would not, under the Flagship Power brand, engage in what would be considered traditional brokering activity. Flagship Power Services, LLC does have separate affiliates (noted below) which engage in providing a retail shopping service; this separate activity would not occur under the Flagship brand

Retail energy vet Phillip Wills is listed as CFO of Flagship Power Services on its broker registration, and as Manager of Flagship Power Services, LLC per Secretary of State records

In its broker registration, Flagship Power Services lists the domain for its email contact as utilityrescue.com

Utility Rescue's website, which lists Flagship Power as one of its brands, indicates its full name is Utility Rescue Holdings

In recent public materials, an entity identified as Utility Rescue Holdings, Inc. described itself as, "a diversified energy and financial technology company offering homes and businesses innovative ways to effectively lower their monthly spend on essential services."

"Portfolio companies include bill reduction services, energy efficiency, utility brokerage, solar, insurance, and retail power. We’ve also developed a unique fundraising platform for organizations, with no up-front cost to their supporters," Utility Rescue Holdings, Inc. stated in such description

"We’ve partnered with top brands to offer these services through comprehensive white label programs, unlocking additional revenue opportunities for their customer base. Market-facing brands include Viv, Utiliz, Flagship Power, Blue Aspen Insurance, and The American Solar Company," Utility Rescue Holdings, Inc. stated in such description

Texas market vet Rob Cantrell, former President of both TriEagle Energy and Pulse Power, has been identified as President of Utility Rescue Holdings

As previously reported, Viv and Utiliz previously launched a retail energy concierge shopping service (auto-switch). Utiliz previously registered as a Texas electric broker.
