Utility Seeks To Triple POR Discount To Over 3%

Washington Gas Light in the District of Columbia has filed an update to its purchase of receivables (POR) discount rates

For residential customers, WGL filed to increase the POR discount to 3.121%, from the current 1.032%

The primary driver in the increase is the lack of an offsetting reconciliation credit in the prior POR calculation. Specifically, in the calculation for the new residential POR discount, the reconciliation component is a charge of 0.496%, while, in the prior calculation, the reconciliation component was a credit of 1.511%

For non-residential customers, WGL filed to increase the POR discount to 0.814%%, from the current 0%
