Centrica Seeks Electricity Broker License In U.S.

Centrica Business Solutions Optimize LLC applied for an Ohio electricity broker license to serve commercial and industrial customers in all service areas
Centrica Business Solutions Optimize began as Smartwatt Inc. and was acquired by Centrica plc in June 2019
Centrica Business Solutions Optimize LLC (CBSO)
delivers Demand Response (DR) and Ancillary Services (AS) in the PJM market. CBSO provides
approximately 600 MW of DR products in the PJM market, of which approximately 90 MW is in
the state of Ohio.
CBSO also
delivers DR in ISO-NE, NYISO (Special Case Resource) and ERCOT (ERS).
Recently, Centrica promoted Alexandra Coleman to the position of Head of Centrica Business Solutions North America. Coleman previously served as Head of Demand Response and Optimization at Centrica Business Solutions. Coleman also previously served as
Director of Project Finance at GE Power, and Vice President, C&I Solar Equity Underwriting at GE Energy Financial Services
Centrica also promoted Anthony De Vito to Head of Demand Response and Optimization at Centrica Business Solutions
Prior to roles at Centrica, De Vito served as Senior Business Development Manager at PPL Energy Services and as Senior Trader at Talen Energy
