The Public Utility Commission of Texas granted Market Place Energy, LLC an Option 1 Texas retail electric provider certificate
Market Place Energy, LLC is part of Hartree Partners. Among its various wholesale and risk services, Hartree also operates a retail supplier in the U.K.
As previously reported, Greg Rudolph joined Hartree Partners in power origination last year (identified with the title Senior Originator for Market Place Energy, LLC in its REP application)
Rudolph previously served as Vice President, ERCOT Origination at Direct Energy, and also held origination positions at NRG and Reliant.
Christine Stevenson also recently joined Hartree as Group Chief Compliance Officer. Stevenson previously served as Chief Compliance Officer - Integrated Supply & Trading - Americas at BP
Under its Texas REP certificate, Market Place Energy received authority to have the option of collecting deposits or advance payments from customers
