National Grid Residential, Commercial Default Service Rates To Fall 22%

National Grid in Massachusetts has filed new basic service (default service) electric rates for the period beginning May 1, 2022.
National Grid's fixed residential basic service rate for the period May 2022 to November 2022 is proposed to decrease 22%, to 11.491 cents per kWh, from the current 14.821 cents per kWh. The new rate also reflects proposed May 1 adjustments to the Basic Service Administrative Cost Adjustment Factors (BSACFs) and the Smart Grid Customer Cost Adjustment Factors (SGCCAFs)
National Grid's fixed commercial (G-1) basic service rate for the period May 2022 to November 2022 is proposed to decrease 21%, to 10.370 cents per kWh, from the current 13.113 cents per kWh. The new rate also reflects proposed May 1 adjustments to the Basic Service Administrative Cost Adjustment Factors (BSACFs) and the Smart Grid Customer Cost Adjustment Factors (SGCCAFs)
