The following story is brought free of charge to readers by EC Infosystems, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
Start-up RPower LLC filed with the Texas PUC a registration as a Texas electricity broker
Javier A. Vega serves as COO of RPower LLC
Vega previously founded and served as CEO of Amigo Energy
Vega also previously led retail electric provider Mission Power, and has served as Executive Vice President at Acclaim Energy
Vega previously served as President at Captrades, a former Reliant Energy joint venture
Although brokers are not required to file proof of their status with the Texas Secretary of State with the PUC (which would identify the company's Secretary of State filing number), there is only one entity registered with the Texas Secretary of State under the name RPower LLC whose entity status is "in existence" and whose name status is "in use".
According to Texas Secretary of State records, the managing director of RPower LLC is Jeff Starcher
According to LinkedIn postings, Tim Carter serves as Sr. Vice President of Market Research and Development at RPower
Carter previously served as Vice President, Demand Response at MP2 Energy, and previously served in a variety of roles at Constellation, including Director, Products & Services
Andrew Wong serves as SVP - EPC & Operations at RPower
Wong previously held roles in sales and business development at MP2 Energy. Wong also previously held sales and operational roles at Siemens Building Technologies and previously served as senior project developer at Trane Technologies
A LinkedIn page for RPower indicates that it will offer services to insulate business customers' power supply from disruption while saving them money on their energy bills.
"RPower’s revolutionary business model of Resilience as a Service (RaaS) includes the design, development, installation, operation, and maintenance of on-site, behind-the-meter power generation sources," a LinkedIn page for RPower says
"These clean-burning, natural gas Generac generators -- dubbed RPower Resilient Generators (RGs) -- provide 100% of a customer’s electricity needs both in times of outages and peak pricing periods, with no upfront capital cost to the customer. Instead, the customer pays RPower a monthly RaaS fee as an operating cost, which is significantly offset by the energy savings the generators earn via monetization through various energy and capacity programs," a LinkedIn page for RPower says
