Tesla Energy Ventures sought to use the trade name Tesla

Ana Stewart serves as President of Tesla Energy Ventures, LLC and has served as Director, Regulatory Credit Trading at Tesla. Stewart previously served as Sr. Analyst, Renewables Portfolio Management at Direct Energy and has held positions at DTE Energy Trading and SolarCity

Michael Penansky serves as Manager, Business Development for Tesla Energy Ventures. Penansky previously held positions at NextEra Energy, Inc. and Cypress Creek Renewables

Simon Wardell serves as Head of Business Operations - Energy Products at Tesla. Wardell previously held general manager and leadership positions at several Australian retail energy suppliers

Cleve Schupp serves as Head of Marketing & Consumer Sales at Tesla. Schupp previously served in leadership positions at an Australian retail energy supplier

In its application, Tesla said, "The applicant will rely on the Tesla mobile application and the Tesla website to execute on its customer acquisition strategy. Specifically, the applicant will target its existing customers that own Tesla products and market the retail offer to customers through the mobile application and Tesla website. In addition to the Tesla mobile application and Tesla website, the applicant's existing 'Tesla Energy Customer Support' organization will be trained to provide support and guidance to customers in customer acquisition efforts."

Tesla offers a retail electric plan in Australia and the U.K. focused on integrating home energy storage. In the U.K., Octopus Energy has administered the Tesla plan

Tesla did not seek authorization for the option of collecting deposits or advance payments from customers
