Residential & Commercial Prices To Compare Increasing At Three FirstEnergy Pennsylvania EDCs

The FirstEnergy Pennsylvania utilities have filed new tariffed residential and commercial PTC-Default rates with the PUC for the three-month period starting September 1, 2021
The PTC-Default rates are the all-in default service rates without the application of the State Tax Adjustment Surcharge (essentially, the PTC prior to application of the STAS), which is currently 0%. The utilities have not yet posted new official PTCs; the tariff filings with the new rates have not yet been approved by the PUC as of publication time
At Met-Ed, the tariffed residential PTC-Default rate will be $0.07114 per kWh effective September 1, a 6% increase versus the current $0.06690 per kWh.
At Penelec, the tariffed residential PTC-Default rate will be $0.06761 per kWh effective September 1, a 5% increase versus the current $0.06462 per kWh
At Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTC-Default rate will be $0.07657 per kWh effective September 1, a 6% increase versus the current $0.07195 per kWh
At West Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTC-Default rate will be $0.05447 per kWh effective September 1, a 5% decrease versus the current $0.05707 per kWh
At Met-Ed, the tariffed commercial PTC-Default rate will increase 5% to $0.06914 per kWh effective September 1, versus the current $0.06584 per kWh
At Penelec, the tariffed commercial PTC-Default rate will increase 3% to $0.06585 per kWh effective September 1, versus the current $0.06374 per kWh
At Penn Power, the tariffed commercial PTC-Default rate will increase 6% to $0.08495 per kWh effective September 1, versus the current $0.08033 per kWh
At West Penn Power, the tariffed commercial PTC-Default rate will decrease 8% to $0.05660 per kWh effective September 1, versus the current $0.06128 per kWh
All of the new PTC-Default rates for the FirstEnergy Pennsylvania EDCs are to be in effect for the period September 1, 2021 through November 30, 2021.
