Vistra-Owned Electricity Shopping Service (Broker) Seeks To Serve Residential Customers In Northeast

Blitz Ventures Inc. d/b/a EnergyBot, the retail electricity plan comparison website owned by Vistra, filed with the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio a notice of material change to its electricity broker license to update its service areas
The notice of material change now lists residential customers as among the customers served or intended to be served, at each of the four investor-owned utilities in Ohio. Based on prior public filings by Blitz Ventures, its Ohio service areas had previously been limited to non-residential customers
EnergyBot currently offers residential service in Texas
Based on a review of its website and relevant zip codes, EnergyBot does not currently offer residential service in any of the major Northeast retail choice states, including New York, Pennsylvania, and Illinois.
In some Northeast states, EnergyBot may have existing authority to serve residential customers due to such states not requiring brokers to identify their target customer segments and/or its original application previously selecting residential customers.
Vistra also owns various retail energy suppliers such as TXU and Dynegy
