Another Texas Retail Provider Files To Serve As Volunteer POLR

Gexa Energy, LP filed a request at the Texas PUC to be designated as a volunteer POLR, aka Voluntary Retail Electric Provider (VREP), for the 2021 through 2022 term

The customer classes and service areas for which Gexa filed to serve as a volunteer POLR was filed under seal, as was the number of customers for which Gexa was willing to serve as a volunteer POLR

As previously reported, the PUC is granting qualified REPs (those already designated as non-volunteer POLRs) until 3:00 pm on Monday, February 22, 2021 to file to serve as a volunteer POLR

As of publication time, Gexa's request is the only new request that is publicly available. As previously reported, Reliant was granted authority to serve as a volunteer POLR, and TXU was granted the ability to increase the number of customers it was willing to serve as a volunteer POLR
