The FirstEnergy Pennsylvania utilities have filed new tariffed residential and commercial PTCDefault rates with the PUC for the three-month period starting September 1, 2020
The PTCDefault rates are the all-in default service rates without the application of the State Tax Adjustment Surcharge (essentially, the PTC prior to application of the STAS), which is currently 0%. The utilities have not yet posted new official PTCs; the tariff filings with the new rates have not yet been approved by the PUC as of publication time

At Met-Ed, the tariffed residential PTCDefault rate will be $0.05757 per kWh effective September 1, a 7% increase versus the current $0.05361 per kWh
At Penelec, the tariffed residential PTCDefault rate will be $0.05598 per kWh effective September 1, versus the current $0.05532 per kWh
At Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTCDefault rate will be $0.06447 per kWh effective September 1, a 3% decrease versus the current $0.06684 per kWh

Commercial
At Met-Ed, the tariffed commercial PTCDefault rate will be $0.05220 per kWh effective September 1, versus the current $0.05044 per kWh
At Penelec, the tariffed commercial PTCDefault rate will be $0.05102 per kWh effective September 1, versus the current $0.05012 per kWh
At Penn Power, the tariffed commercial PTCDefault rate will be $0.06762 per kWh effective September 1, versus the current $0.06529 per kWh
At West Penn Power, the tariffed commercial PTCDefault rate will be $0.05244 per kWh effective September 1, a 6% decrease versus the current $0.05602 per kWh
All of the new PTCDefault rates for the FirstEnergy Pennsylvania EDCs are to be in effect for the period September 1, 2020 through November 30, 2020.
However, parts of the tariffs erroneously list the new PTCDefault rates as applicable through December 31, 2020
