Evolve Retail Energy, LLC has filed with the Public Utility Commission of Texas a statement of intent to provide retail electric services using a customer prepayment device or system

The use of advanced metering is considered a customer prepayment device or system

Evolve Retail Energy's terms of service, EFL and prepaid disclosure statement were filed under seal. Evolve Retail Energy's website does include an EFL (EFL for Oncor linked here) and PDS.

As exclusively first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, Evolve Retail Energy has stated an intent to use a subscription model, passing the real-time wholesale cost to the customer under pay-as-you-go billing, and using enabling technology and AI to automate demand response and savings, tapping into smart home devices

Evolve Retail Energy says that its app, "works in tandem with your smart connected devices such as Nest, Honeywell or Ecobee smart thermostats." The company anticipates adding capability for smart plugs, EVs, and appliances

"In addition, we will be launching proprietary products that allow you even further protection against price spikes," Evolve Retail Energy's website states

A countdown on Evolve Retail Energy's website indicates service is to launch in 7 days

The site currently lists the membership fee for Evolve Energy as $10 per month.

In addition, according to an FAQ, "A billing fee of $0.07 per day is applied to your account from our billing vendor."

Furthermore, Evolve Retail Energy charges a, "Wholesale Market Fee -- This pass through cost is $0.002 and gives us the ability to give thrrough [sic] wholesale power to residential customers."

Evolve Retail Energy will offer 100% renewable electricity.
