Update: PUC Approves Results From Default Service Auction

PUCO approved the auction results, including an average clearing price of $47.92 per megawatt-hour (MWh) for the delivery period of June 2019 through May 2020, as discussed below. The results will be blended with previous auctions to help determine the price-to-compare for customers at the FirstEnergy Ohio EDCs during the delivery period.

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio has posted results from a January 28, 2019 auction to procure a portion of electricity default service supplies at the FirstEnergy Ohio EDCs for the period June 1, 2019 - May 31, 2020
The January 28 auction resulted in a tranche-weighted average price of winning bids of $47.92 per MWh, for the delivery period June 1, 2019 - May 31, 2020
The auction procured 17 tranches of supply
There were 3 winning bidders in the auction
