FirstEnergy Pennsylvania Residential Prices To Compare To Decrease, Falling By Up To 17%

The FirstEnergy Pennsylvania utilities have filed new tariffed residential PTCDefault rates with the PUC for the three-month period starting March 1, 2019
The PTCDefault rates are the all-in default service rates without the application of the State Tax Adjustment Surcharge (essentially, the PTC prior to application of the STAS), which is currently 0%. Official Prices to Compare were not yet posted
At Met-Ed, the tariffed residential PTCDefault rate will be 6.241¢/kWh effective March 1, a 6% decrease versus the current 6.684¢/kWh
At Penelec, the tariffed residential PTCDefault rate will be 5.747¢/kWh effective March 1, a decrease of nearly 9% versus the current 6.288¢/kWh
At Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTCDefault rate will be 6.414¢/kWh effective March 1, a 17% decrease versus the current 7.714¢/kWh
At West Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTCDefault rate will be 6.092¢/kWh effective March 1, a 4% decrease versus the current 6.354¢/kWh
