National Grid Residential, Commercial Electric Default Service Rates To Decrease 14%
The following story is brought free of charge to readers by EC Infosystems, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
National Grid has filed with the Massachusetts DPU new basic service rates for residential and commercial customers for the six-month period beginning May 1, 2018, and for industrial customers, for the three-month period beginning May 1, 2018
Taking into account pending changes to National Grid's Basic Service Administrative Cost Adjustment Factors (BSACFs) and Smart Grid Customer Cost Adjustment Factors (SGCCFs) which are the subject of another proceeding and to be effective May 1, the new fixed basic service rates for both residential and commercial customers are about 14% lower than the current fixed basic service rates
National Grid filed the new fixed basic service rates only reflecting both the current BSACFs and SGCCFs, as noted below.
Additionally, National Grid filed the "base" basic service rates, on a fixed and monthly basis, without the impact of either the BSACFs and SGCCFs adders (as noted below)
The rates remain subject to DPU approval
